Privacy Policy

Swervie is owned and operated by Plum Applications, Inc. (“Plum”, “we”, “us”). This policy describes what we collect through the Swervie website and APIs, how we use it, and the choices you have.

• Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
• Usage analytics. Only if you accept the analytics banner, we collect product-usage events (pages viewed, searches, clicks) via Google Analytics. If you decline, the analytics tag is never loaded and no analytics cookie is set.
• API and server logs. Requests to the site and to the MCP/agent APIs are logged (endpoint, timestamp, IP address, user agent) for security, rate limiting, and debugging. Rate-limit counters are kept per IP address, or per user signature when an assistant sends one.
• Requests from AI assistants (MCP server). When an assistant uses Swervie on your behalf, we record each tool call: the shopping query and filters, the category and product ids involved, a random id for that connection, and the optional user_signature. The signature is a one-way hash of a stable identifier, computed by the assistant so we never receive the identifier itself; if a raw email address or phone number arrives by mistake, we hash it the same way before storing anything.
• Earlier selections and feedback. Until October 27, 2026 the MCP server also let assistants report which product a user chose and send problem reports for review. Those tools are gone; records already stored under them are kept and deleted under the same terms as other assistant activity.
• Searches we could not answer. A shopping phrase that matches no category is saved, without any user identifier and at most 80 characters long, as demand for a new category.

We use this information to operate and secure the Service, to improve the catalog and ranking, and to understand how the product is used. Searches we could not answer are given to an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) to design new product categories; they carry no user identifier. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

• Google Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, hosting, data storage, server logs, and our analytics warehouse (BigQuery). Data is stored in the United States.
• Anthropic — processes the unanswered search phrases described above, which contain no user identifier, to author new categories.
• Google Analytics — consent-gated product analytics.
• Affiliate networks and sellers — when you follow a buy link you leave Swervie; the seller's (and, for affiliate links, the network's) own privacy policies then apply. Affiliate links may set cookies to attribute purchases. When an assistant sent a user_signature, buy links carry it to the affiliate network or retailer (for Amazon, as the Associates SubID) so purchases can be attributed; no name, email address, or other direct identifier is shared.

We use cookies and similar storage for authentication sessions and for the analytics consent choice itself. Analytics cookies exist only after you opt in.

Account data is kept while your account is active. Server logs are deleted automatically after 30 days. Assistant activity, feedback reports, unanswered search phrases, and rate-limit counters have no fixed expiry: we keep them until they are deleted as described below, because they are what improves rankings and decides which categories we build next. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

You can delete your account yourself at any time from your account page. Deleting removes your Google sign-in details, any admin access, and the shopping activity and feedback recorded through our MCP server under the pseudonymous signature derived from your email address, along with the rate-limit counters held against it. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Self-service deletion does not reach copies already exported to our analytics warehouse, server logs (which expire after 30 days), or anything already passed to an affiliate network or retailer under its own policy. To have the warehouse copies removed too, or if you used Swervie only through an assistant and have no account, email info@plum-app.com and we will delete them. You can also request access to your data the same way.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on the site.
